New Stormwater Website Promotes Water Pollution Prevention
Turnersville, NJ (November 25, 2005) — Tara Communications LLC launched a new website today dedicated to helping Gloucester County residents learn about various aspects of stormwater management: drinkable water, pollution prevention, and watershed protection. The Gloucester County Improvement Authority commissioned the Gloucester County Stormwater Management website
to also provide training resources for the county's municipal stormwater coordinators.
The site features maps of Gloucester County's various watersheds, "How You Can Help" articles on pollution prevention, details about the stormwater management process, and a contact list of stormwater coordinators.
"Gloucester County has taken a progressive tact with Stormwater Management and we are the only county in the state that has launched a website that will educate and inform local government workers, as well as the public, about storm water management, what point source and non-point source pollution is, and what they as individuals can do to positively affect our environment," said Gloucester County Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney.
Gloucester County is the only county in New Jersey conducting a regional stormwater management program. The coordinated effort not only helps the county's 24 municipalities meet New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) permit requirements but also helps them save money.
Tara Communications LLC is a public relations, marketing and Internet communications firm located in Turnersville, NJ. It recently launched a municipal website for West Deptford Township (NJ) and an award-winning site for the City of Woodbury (NJ).
