Woodbury Launches New Municipal Website
Woodbury, NJ (April 4, 2005) — The City of Woodbury has launched a new website (www.woodbury.nj.us) that not only promotes the community as a great place to live, work and visit, but also delivers easy access to government news, forms and contacts.
Current residents, potential business owners, history buffs, shoppers and tourists will find items of interest on the site. For example, every page contains photos of historic homes, vibrant storefronts and city attractions. The city government section contains an alphabetized list of links to city services. The maps section contains depictions of the city's historic district, parks system, available parking, and the neighborhood preservation zone. The recreation section includes a community events calendar, descriptions of the city's many youth activities and a list of features of each community park.
Residents who need to interact with city government will find a searchable database of city council minutes and agendas, detailed budget and tax information, calendars for the various government boards and committees, and details on opening and operating a business. They will also find the most commonly requested city government forms conveniently located in a Quick Links menu at the top of every page.
"Woodbury is a wonderful place," says Mayor Leslie C. Clark. "From our beautiful parks to our Victorian homes to our unique shops, it offers something for everyone. Unfortunately many people don't know what our city has to offer. I think this new site will help change that."
The site was created by Tara Communications, a public relations, marketing and Internet firm located in Turnersville, NJ (www.tarapr.com).
The City hopes to eventually expand the site to enable residents to purchase pet licenses, secure permits and even pay parking tickets online. Between now and then, the City plans to add more forms, historical data and photos to the site.
